SWWASAC INSURANCE

• SWWASAC have been in negotiations with a specialist sports insurance agency and have secured an exclusive deal for SWWASAC members

• £2.000.000 Public liability this covers SWWASAC members its clubs and officers of those clubs.  eg A club organises an open competition and a competitor casts out and hits another fisherman a court could decide that the organisers were at fault for not spacing anglers properly therefore they can claim any award made from the officers

.

• £1.000.000 Personal liability this covers all anglers of the association for 24 hours a day 365 days a year any where in the world excluding USA and Canada whether they are fishing for their club or privately.

• This insurance is exclusive to SWWASAC and its member clubs it covers our open competitions and gives us a major advantage over other associations

• The cost is as follows

Clubs £110 inclusive of insurance and membership to SWWASAC this is for public and personal liability insurance covering all members

Personal members to SWWASAC £15 inclusive

All clubs who hold open competitions have to be registered in the scheme with SWWASAC at the time of entering their competition dates

 This insurance covers all members whether they fish from the shore or boat an example of boat fishing liability is as follows

A member of a boating club offers to take a couple of friends out for a days fishing He has full boat insurance and public liability insurance one of his pals decides to cast up tide and his hook  lands in the eye of a fellow angler. A court could decide this has nothing to do with the boat owner and his insurance and could pursue the angler for costs. SWWASAC insurance insures all those anglers separately
