SWWASAC

Since starting in 1981 SWWASAC has grown from Strength to Strength from a few dedicated anglers to over 30 clubs holding up to 30 members in each club. Over the years we have had some casualties, meaning that some clubs that may sometimes cause deliberate arguments and spoil things for other members but we soon put a stop to those and turfed them out after all we would like to say we are a friendly Association and anyone who tries to spoil this will also be removed from our Association.
Catch & Release.
For a few years now our anglers have told us that they would like to put fish that they don't want back in the Sea, and we have adapted our Competition scene to accommodate a release system. As soon as the fish has been recorded (which is as soon as the fish is unhooked carefully) it is then placed back in to the swim of the water to help the fish on its way.
SWWASAC is always promoting Fair Angling and has always had Conservation Measures for the Marine Ecology in mind from the start.

We have an exciting League on offer every year, paying out nearly £4000 in prize money and prizes. Membership is easy and you too can become a part of the future for Sport and Recreational Angling.
Together we can enhance and protect our children's futures for Sea Angling, by educating them on sizes and respect for the fish and crustaceans that make up the sport and enjoyment for many more years to come.
